Affordable, comfortable, simple and sustainable living, that is the idea behind DreamHûs.
This experiment is a collaboration between WoonFriesland, Bouwgroep Dijkstra Draisma, The Green Village and De Bewonersraad Friesland. Three exact copies of typical Dutch houses from the seventies are built at The Green Village. The houses have different energy performance. Researchers, students and entrepeneurs are invited to come up with user-friendly, and above all affordable, solutions to make these houses sustainable.
The three houses reflect the Dutch housing stock. Solutions in the field of energy, healthy indoor climate, water, heating, insulation, ICT, IoT and Smart homes can be tested in this living lab before they will be applied in the houses of social housing company WoonFriesland and then the rest of The Netherlands.
The parties will combine Frysian common sense and decisiveness with new technological insights. Other interested parties from industry, knowledge institutes, governments and the general public are invited to contribute.

Gebruiksvriendelijke en betaalbare oplossingen voor verduurzaming van woningen
Betaalbaar, comfortabel, eenvoudig en duurzaam leven, dat is het idee achter DreamHûs.
Dit experiment is een samenwerking tussen WoonFriesland, Bouwgroep Dijkstra Draisma, The Green Village en De Bewonersraad Friesland. Op The Green Village zijn drie exacte kopieën van Nederlandse jaren zeventig huizen met verschillende energieprestaties gebouwd. Onderzoekers, studenten en ondernemers worden uitgenodigd om gebruiksvriendelijke en vooral betaalbare oplossingen te bedenken om deze huizen duurzaam te maken.
De drie huizen weerspiegelen de Nederlandse woningvoorraad. Oplossingen op het gebied van energie, gezond binnenklimaat, water, verwarming, isolatie, ICT, IoT en slimme woningen kunnen in dit proeftuin worden getest voordat ze worden toegepast in de huizen van WoonFriesland en vervolgens de rest van Nederland. .
De partijen combineren Frysisch gezond verstand en daadkracht met nieuwe technologische inzichten. Andere geïnteresseerden uit de industrie, kennisinstellingen, overheden en het grote publiek worden uitgenodigd om een bijdrage te leveren.
