In the first session, we will dive into the field of innovative building materials. We will hear about trade-offs that often need to be made, when it comes to circularity (e.g. modular design vs. material savings) from Witteveen+Bos. We will dive deeper into the key (biobased) material innovations, contributing to a sustainable built environment, and further explore which materials are especially relevant in the South-Holland region based on a sectoral analysis by TNO. Prominent opportunities for SMEs are also shared by among others The Green Village, and we’ll see an innovation approach to building materials in an SME presentation.
